I’ve been trying hard to get out and actually celebrate summer this year. A lot of the time it feels like we just run around “doing” things, and never get anything fun done. So, every week this summer, I am bound and determined to try something new, do something fun, have some family time, and celebrate summer. This week we put together a fun pizza night to do together.
Usually, pizza night tends to be a little bit of a stressful night for me. I have to make the dough, chop all the ingredients, hopefully put together a pizza that everyone will enjoy, and then do it all over again as my family eats more than one pizza. This time, though, we went for an easier and very tasty route – DiGiorno’s Design-A-Pizzas!
Thank heavens for meals like these! I’ve got a full week this week, and was stressing at the thought of trying to put in one more activity. So I was so grateful to find these Design-A-Pizzas at our local Walmart. I picked a few up, put them in my cart, and we were good to go for a fabulous family pizza night activity!
Once we got home, the girls had a lot of fun designing our pizzas. I did have a hard time getting my darling 2 year old to actually top the pizza instead of filling her stomach.
And, while our pizzas didn’t look as picture perfect as the box, they probably tasted better. I loved the chicken, green peppers, and red onion pizza.
It was so delightful to have a stress-free activity, dinner, and family time all rolled into one. It was the perfect way to celebrate summer this busy week!
