Let’s all just agree that November is national Thankful month? I can’t help it. But whenever November hits, I start getting very sappy and emotionally thankful for all the wonderful people and things in my life. There is one special friend, who I think about often. She quickly reached out and became my friend when I was a lonely first time mother with a husband in medical school. I don’t think she realizes how much she helped me get through that long and sometimes hard time of life. But, since life is life and we’ve both moved, that means I don’t always get to express my gratitude to her face to face. And, a card never seems like it’s enough. She mean a lot to me. Like, more than a greeting card lot. So, instead of sending just a Thank You, I decided give extra and make a fun (and little cheesy) mini party in a box.
A mini party in a box is a perfect way to show my friend just how much I care about her. I included some of my favorite party supplies – it is a party-in-a-box after all. But, since it was mini, I had to keep things small. I included a little stack of mini cupcake liners, a mini heart balloon (adorably taped to the top of the box), mini food flags made from toothpicks and washi tape, cute candles, and a pack of Extra gum – my friend is extra special, btw.
To finish it off, I created this cute little printable label to put on the top of my box. Now, I can just wrap up my box in some paper and mail it off. While this gift didn’t take much effort and hardly cost anything, I am sure my friend will be excited to get it in the mail. Who doesn’t enjoy a little package in the mail?
Who would you send a little extra love to?
